Introduction
What is Vancouver Youth KOSTA?
It is a three-day annual Christian conference that gathers Korean-Canadian youth, high school students, and volunteers for worship, keynote messages, and seminars addressing contemporary faith topics.

The Influence
Creating visuals that connect faith with everyday life
Vancouver Youth KOSTA brings together young people exploring their faith. Building on the creative team’s vision of making faith feel more relevant to everyday life, I contributed to visuals that connected with young people through social media, print, and merchandise.
My contribution to the event
Working in the design team, I contributed to the event’s visual experience across digital, print, and merchandise touchpoints, applying this year's visual direction, developed by our design lead, Rose Choi. My contributions included the conference booklet, promotional social posts, posters, stickers, patches, and materials supporting the merchandise booth.

Sticker Design
Conference themed message stickers
I designed custom water bottle stickers for attendees of this year's KOSTA event. After exploring several variations, I finalized a set of designs featuring different background imagery paired with Bible verses that aligned with the event's central theme of Calling.

Embroidered Patch Design
Embroidered patch designs
Responding to a last-minute design request, I created several patch designs for the event merchandise. Two designs on the right side below were selected and sold alongside designs from other team members.

Booklet Design
50-page conference booklet design
I designed the event booklet, creating the cover and page layouts for introductions, speaker profiles, schedules, and note-taking sections, using the event's brand guidelines and theme.

Conclusion
Reflection
Behind the scenes of our three-month journey
Our design team consisted of 12 members with different skills, from stage and merchandise design to digital and print (myself!), all guided by our amazing design lead. Sometimes met unexpected challenges, such as changes in deadlines requiring quick turnaround for design submissions; clear communication was essential to keeping everything moving toward the same goal: creating this extra-special experience for youth.
